The Department of Disability and Human Development (DHD), College of Applied Health Sciences, University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking applications for an Associate Director of the Institute on Disability and Human Development (IDHD). The IDHD is the University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) for the state of Illinois.

DHD offers a doctoral degree in Disability Studies, two continuing education programs, and an undergraduate major in Disability and Human Development. It also houses interdisciplinary research, training and clinical centers.

The Associate Director, who would be a clinical or tenured/tenure track faculty, must have a doctoral degree or its equivalent in the social sciences, education, health sciences, disability policy or related fields. Experience in grant development and management is highly preferred. Candidates for the tenure-track position would be expected to develop an independent research program on disability and have experience in teaching. Candidates for the clinical faculty appointment would have teaching and advising roles in our academic programs.

This position is available for the Academic Year 2016-17. The search will remain open until the position is filled.
