Position:  Deputy Director

Job Summary:  The United States International Council on Disabilities (USICD) is looking for a full-time Deputy Director in Washington, DC.  USICD's mission is to promote the rights and full participation of persons with disabilities through global engagement and United States foreign affairs.  USICD's leadership profile and project portfolio offer a unique opportunity to join a groundbreaking organization supporting the rights of people with disabilities around the world.  As a member of a small team lead by the Executive Director, including collaboration with the Board of Directors, the Deputy Director will have the opportunity to help shape USICD in its capacity, initiatives, reach and impact.  Responsibilities include: providing hands-on administration of USICD initiatives and sponsored programs; fostering organizational growth, including grant/contract development and fundraising; participating actively in implementing policies, plans and programs; supporting advocacy efforts and engaging stakeholders in sharing USICD's vision; overseeing staff in project implementation.

Qualifications Summary:  Experienced executive with global perspective; experience in managing non-profit organizations; demonstrated experience in managing grant-funded programs and financial management; passion and commitment to advancing the rights of persons with disabilities.  Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in a related field a plus.  Salary commensurate with experience.
