For 30 years the National Fragile X Foundation (NFXF), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, has been a leading and authoritative voice in the Fragile X community. Our research, advocacy and community outreach has been vital in advancing the understanding and awareness of the spectrum of Fragile X associated disorders. NFXF has contributed groundbreaking research about how Fragile X is inherited, coordinated the first conference on the disorder, advocated for national legislation bolstering research funding, and achieved many other milestones while becoming the prominent, go-to organization on the subject of Fragile X.

NFXF is seeking its next Executive Director who will provide dynamic leadership in positioning and guiding NFXF to effectively continue its impressive history of providing family support, advocacy, and clinical research and intervention to those living with impact of Fragile X and other genetic disorders.  The new Executive Director will focus on expanding financial support through identifying, organizing, and mobilizing a wide variety of resources, donors and other stakeholders to create and implement resource development and awareness programs and initiatives throughout the United States.  A unique opportunity awaits the right candidate, who with the leadership, vision, resource development skills and business acumen, to lead NFXF to significant growth, enabling its impact to be greatly expanded.  To do so, the right candidate will possess a diverse background exhibiting success in fundraising, strategic planning, and service delivery with an ability to grasp complex issues and communicate them in a relatable manner.

Although NFXF offices are located in Walnut Creek, California, the location of the incoming Executive Director may be negotiable.
