Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor of Psychiatry - Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities (CIDD), University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

The Department of Psychiatry and the Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities (CIDD; www.cidd.unc.edu) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill are recruiting a NC licensed (or license-eligible) psychologist with expertise in the provision of clinical/psychological services to individuals with or at-risk for intellectual/ developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families.  The successful applicant must have extensive clinical experiences including assessment, intervention, and community-based consultation (e.g., schools, childcare and residential settings) with persons who have a wide range of neuro-developmental disabilities, and be skilled in behavioral assessment/treatment planning. Competencies in the area of autism spectrum disorders are necessary, and must include both diagnostic services and knowledge of evidence-based intervention with children and adults. The applicant will also have experience working in an interdisciplinary health-care setting, provision of community education/training, and skill/interest in conducting direct supervision of graduate level students. Interest in establishing an emergent line of research in IDD is also necessary as grant-writing activities will be encouraged.  Depending on previous experience, this position will be fixed term at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor, or Clinical Associate Professor, in the Department of Psychiatry and housed within the Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities. 

The successful candidate would be expected to maintain an active clinical practice, lead interdisciplinary clinical teams, supervise and provide clinical training to graduate students, and collaborate with university and state partners.  Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in an applied area of psychology, three years of postdoctoral clinical experience in intellectual/developmental disabilities, and be licensed (or license-eligible) in North Carolina.  Experience with LEND/UCEDD programs is strongly preferred.
