On April 29th, 2011, co-instructors for the Introduction to Disability Studies (DIS201)course, Katherine Mahosky and Matthew Wangeman received the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences Teaching Innovation Award for their efforts in this introductory class for the disability minor offered by the Institute for Human Development.  The "dynamic duo", throughout the course of a semester, team up to facilitate a change in student's attitudes when interacting and working with people with disabilities.  Changing one able-bodied person's mind at a time, Katherine and Matthew look forward to a full class in the Autumn of 2011.  For more information on the Minor in Disability Studies offered at IHD, please follow this link: http://www4.nau.edu/ihd/MinorinDisabilityStudies.asp .
