While every child is unique, the challenges families of children with special needs face are not. This website is designed to assist them and their caregivers in identifying the tools to help them cope by providing resources that enable them to feel less overwhelmed now and in the future.
Toolsfortoday.org also is a reference and resource for professionals to assist families in becoming more informed, confident and active participants in their children's' care. Information found on the website's pages include:
- A community-based calendar listing educational events for families living in or near Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
- A community-based listing of support groups in or near Cuyahoga Count
- Links to on-line local (in or near Cuyahoga County), regional (State of Ohio), and national publications and websites providing information, resources and support about advocacy, family, financial, and legal topics and issues.
- Announcements about upcoming Tools for Today and Tomorrow workshops and biennial conferences.
