AUCD supports President Obama's nomination of John King as Secretary of Education. Dr. King, who is currently the Acting Secretary, has considerable experience in public policy and teaching, having previously served as the Department of Education's Principal Senior Advisor. We are confident that he will advance education equity and expand resources for all students, including individuals with disabilities. We therefore urge the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee to approve his nomination with all due speed.
