The 2017 Summer Institute on Theology and Disability will be held in Azusa, California, June 5-8, 2017 at Azusa Pacific University. The Institute brings together academics, theologians and others to explore the inclusive intersections of faith and disabilities.

Plenary speakers will include Summer Institute Faculty on Monday, Community Day, Miguel Romero (Roman Catholic), Joni Eareckson Tada (Joni and Friends), Shaykh Suheil (an Islam scholar whose son has Down syndrome), Jubin Varghese (India), and two to be decided, including the Jean Vanier Emerging Scholar Plenary. 30 workshops. A Ph.D. student symposium. A Tuesday evening discussion between Kay Warren, Saddleback Church, and John Swinton, on faith communities and mental illness, and more.
