National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities Annual Conference: Call for Proposals

The 2010 NACDD Annual Conference will celebrate State Councils on Developmental Disabilities and the progress they have made in advancing inclusion and integration of people with developmental disabilities and their families through systems change, capacity building and advocacy. This conference will highlight Council achievements since 1970 and also serve as a call to action to continue and strengthen efforts to meet current and emerging needs of people with developmental disabilities and their families.
They invite State Councils on Developmental Disabilities, self-advocates, and others with knowledge and expertise working in the field of developmental disabilities to submit ideas for presentations related to the theme: "Honoring our Past.... Shaping Our Future!"
This conference will have three major tracks: Systems Change, Capacity Building and Advocacy, based on the declared purpose of State Councils on Developmental Disabilities as described in the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act (DD ACT).
