Project Description
The MMI Center on Interdisciplinary Program Evaluation will coordinate the external evaluation of University of Nebraska-Lincoln's NSF funded Course, Curriculum, and Laboratory Improvement (CCLI) proposal. This project seeks to produce a pedagogical transformation of construction engineering education from traditional teacher-centered lecture-based presentation to a learner-centered web-based interactive simulation incorporated into a project-based curriculum.

The external evaluation will gather formative evaluation data from participating professors and their students at pilot classes, in order to provide VICE program administration with a process for systemic continuous improvement. Summative evaluation will include triangulating data, which seeks to measure student achievement through assessments that include: evaluator observations, surveys and tracked student progress and feedback within the simulation software.
