Research: Conduct research on 1) the psychological and social impact of disaster on individuals with disabilities, and 2) teacher cognition and classroom management. Principal investigator of research grants that examining the effects of disaster on individuals with disabilities post-disaster.
Education: Interdisciplinary Training Coordinator at the Center on Disability and Development. Teach graduate courses in disability studies and qualitative research. Chair and co-chair of over 20 graduate committees. Co-director of Master's training grant that prepared over 125 educators in inclusionary practices in special education.
Service: Vice-President of National Training Directors Committee, AUCD. Coordinator of Learning Sciences Program. Department of Educational Psychology Ombudsperson.Editorial Board Member for Review of Disability Studies and Journal of International Special Needs Education.
