Vita/Bio

Stacey Ramirez joined Georgia State University in August 2008 as the Individual and Family Resources.

Ms Ramirez has a career interest in community inclusion and person-centered planning with a particular interest in furthering the human rights of people with developmental disabilities.

Biographical Sketch

Ms. Ramirez graduated with a Bachelor Science in Education from the University of West Georgia, and is presently pursuing her Masters in Education.   Prior to coming to Georgia State University-College of Health and Human Sciences, Ms Ramirez was the Health and Human Rights Coordinator with the Department of Human Resources in the Office of Developmental Disabilities. She is a 2007 graduate of Governor's Council on Developmental Disabilities training program, Partners in Policymaking. Ms Ramirez is the proud mother of three boys, one of whom has autism.

 Recent Presentations

Ms. Ramirez is a Critical Incident Training (CIT) educator on developmental disabilities for local police forces.  She has also presented on person-centered planning and Medicaide waiver information at the following venues:
