Dr. Lindstrom has focused her career on developing innovative career development programs and improving post school outcomes for young adults with disabilities. Her research examines the interplay of individual factors such as gender, socioeconomic status, disability and family expectations, with system level factors such as school services, educational policies, and barriers in the workplace. Over the last 25 years, she has developed school and community based programs and disseminated findings through publications, products, national and international conference presentations.
