Vita/Bio
Teacher of the Visually Impaired providing services to students with low vision and blindness grades Pre-K through 12 on a daily basis, performing direct instruction of developmental and compensatory skills, as it relates to vision impairments, including Braille reading and writing, the Expanded Core Curriculum; making accommodations for students to access the general curriculum; consulting and coordinating with school staff in order to ensure that students needs are met; conducting functional vision and learning media assessments; presenting in-service training for other teachers and staff concerning topics and strategies critical to the students.
