Briefly describe the activity and its purpose.

"Understanding the Family Perspective" is an interactive lectures series provided to first-year pediatric residents during their (one month) developmental behavioral rotation.  LEND trainees from other disciplines (social work, speech pathology, audiology, psychology, etc.) also participate.  The lecture series is developed and delivered by parents of children with disabilities, as well as an adult with a disability.

What are the expected learning outcomes for trainees?

The curriculum helps to build participants' understanding of the issues and concerns of families that have children with disabilities.
