LEND-related vocabulary list for AAC users (trainees, faculty, etc)

This preliminary list of words related to LEND is intended for trainees, faculty, and others involved in LEND who use AAC (augmentative/alternative communication). These AAC users may want to program the following words/phrases into a communication device (or print them onto a paper-based communication board) to help them fully communicate about and participate in LEND.

This list was created by a mostly-nonspeaking self-advocate training coordinator, Endever* Corbin, at the beginning of their time at the OHSU LEND. As such, is it likely incomplete! Your suggestions for additions are welcome. Please email Endever at [email protected] with vocabulary you’d suggest adding, and note if/how you want to be credited for the suggestion (such as with your name, an online handle, or “anonymous”).
