Every year, AUCD welcomes thousands of new leaders to the network, all with a shared commitment to civil rights and social justice. The AUCD network is proud to be the professional home for these leaders - a place where they can learn about the issues, connect with others, get involved, and grow, with the ultimate goal of positively impacting the lives of people with disabilities and their families throughout the country and world.

AUCD is thrilled to formalize this concept with the launch of the
AUCD Emerging Leaders Community.

AUCD's Emerging Leaders include current and former trainees as well as early career leaders from all disciplines, including advocacy and family leadership, who are new in the disability field. Many have shared that participating in the AUCD network has made them feel better equipped to serve their communities, and in many cases prompted a change in their career trajectories. AUCD strives to provide our Emerging Leaders with a space to build their foundational knowledge, explore and contribute to resources, connect with others, and develop their skills.

The Community name, logo, and website were all driven by the ideas and voices of Emerging Leaders from the very beginning. We are excited to share the community's new "home" with you!
