Description
Aging caregivers of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) experience poorer health and lower quality of life than their peers. This growing population experiences increased isolation, stress, anxiety and financial challenges which were exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The MI-OCEAN project used a peer model to connect aging caregivers to appropriate services and increase social supports to reduce caregiver stress and improve quality of life.Back to Session: Poster Symposium 2B - Parent/Family Involvement, Support and Respite and Aging
