Description

This presentation describes the development and testing of a three-part continuing medical education (CME) program for primary care providers (e.g. physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants) about working with patients with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD). The program covers: 1) health equity for people with IDD; 2) physical and intellectual accessibility; 3) consent and capacity for health care decision-making among people with IDD; and 4) supported decision-making in health care.
