Description
In 1999, the Supreme Court held that public entities must provide community-based services to individuals with disabilities in the most integrated setting when 1-appropriate; 2-not opposed, and 3-services can be reasonably accommodated. The Justice Department works to fulfill the promise of the ADA. Olmstead efforts incorporate issues key to the full participation of people with disabilities in all aspects of community life, including living in the community and integrated employment.Back to Session: Concurrent Sessions: Group 4
