Description
The importance of early intervention warrants efforts to identify potential strategies for supporting parents in obtaining an earlier identification (i.e., clinical diagnosis and/or educational identification) of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) for their child. To identify such strategies, we conducted a survey study to examine (a) parent-reported barriers and facilitators to obtaining an identification of ASD; and (b) sources parents access for information on ASD (e.g., scientific article, blog, Facebook).Back to Session: Poster Symposium 4C: Clinical Service, Health, Wellness
