Dear AUCD Network Members and Friends:
We need your help to identify greatness. We know that the individuals and groups of the AUCD Network accomplish magnificent feats each year-training thousands of professionals; conducting research on a huge variety of science, social science, and policy topics; teaching pre-service students in over 20 disciplines; and collaborating with partners throughout the country and the world-to create some of the most up-to-date delivery models available.
It is almost that time to recognize some of these great achievements. The AUCD 2010 Annual Meeting will include the opportunity to acknowledge some of our best during our annual Awards Ceremony and Gala on Tuesday, November 2.
In addition to our slate of awards highlighting greatness, 2010 brings a new award. The International Service Award will recognize outstanding contributions by an individual or group that further programs or policies for people with disabilities and their families throughout the world.
Help the AUCD Awards Committee to recognize the wonderful work that is being conducted throughout the network by nominating individuals or groups for the awards listed below. Please take a few minutes to review this information and nominate an outstanding individual or program.
Please submit your nominations using the electronic submission form below. All nominations are due by Friday, September 10, 2010.
Take this opportunity to shine a light on the wonderful work being done at your program or at programs throughout the network.
Thanks for your participation,
Michael Gamel-McCormick, PhD

Too much of what we want for all still occurs only in pockets of excellence around the world - with leadership contributed by too few and constant pressures to compromise quality. Our collective next great challenge as the AUCD Network is Going to Scale through systematic efforts at expanding the scope, impact, quality, and reach of our practices.
There are few greater efficiencies in our field than building on the ideas of others, learning what to do and what not to do in developing programs, and gaining invaluable insights into what works and why. Attend the 2010 AUCD Annual Meeting and Conference and share in making what works accessible to all.
