Vita/Bio
Dr. Jamison has over 10 years of experience working with children and families. She has expertise is in the area of diagnostic evaluations (autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities) psychoeducational assessments, parent training for behavior management, including Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, parent and school consultation, and social skills intervention. She also has experience working in schools as a school psychologist. Dr. Jamison provides clinical services through developmental behavioral support clinics, social skills intervention through her "Girls Night Out" program, supervises trainees, and spends time conducting research. Dr. Jamison's research experience has been related to student assistance teams, autism, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. She is beginning research in the area of social competence in young girls and was recently awarded a small grant from the Kansas Center on Autism Research and Training (KCART) for a pilot study evaluating a social skills intervention program she implements within her "Girls Night Out" program. Dr. Jamison earned her B.S. degree in psychology and sociology from Kansas State University, her M.A. degree in clinical/counseling psychology from Southern Methodist University, and her Ed.S. and Ph.D. degrees in school psychology from the University of Kansas. She completed her post-doctoral training at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
