"Learn the Signs. Act Early." (LTSAE) is a CDC program that promotes collaboration among early childhood programs in states and territories so children with autism or other developmental delays and disabilities can be identified early and referred to appropriate services and supports. This past year the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD) through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) funded 43 states and territories to focus on early childhood state systems to support recovery and strengthen resilience skills, behaviors, and resources of children, families, and communities during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This webinar will provide an overview of LTSAE, the purpose and scope of the Act Early Response to COVID-19 and include a high-level overview of findings from the Act Early/COVID-19 Response Team needs assessment process.

This course will increase your knowledge about whole community emergency planning, including COVID-19 planning, as well as provide basic information needed to connect with your own local emergency planners, public health professionals, and community.

We invite you to join the AUCD Public Health Team for a webinar on Strategies for COVID-19 Vaccine Access and Confidence for People with Disabilities. Members of the COVID-19 Vaccine Access and Confidence Among People with Disabilities Initiative Community of Practice will share outreach strategies, lessons learned, and continuing barriers in the goal of vaccinating all eligible persons with disabilities by the 31st Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act on July 26th. ASL and CART captioning will be provided.

In this webinar, AUCD's Emergency Preparedness SIG will meet with Dr. Carol Salas Pagan, Psy.D., a FEMA National Advisory Council (NAC) member. Dr. Pagan will discuss her work with the Council, which advises the FEMA Administrator about emergency management, including preparedness, protection, response, recovery, and mitigation for natural disasters, acts of terrorism, and other manmade disasters. In addition, she will give an overview of current FEMA initiatives related to disabilities. An interactive question and answer session among AUCD network members will take place after her presentation.

Content Development for Social Media will help participants plan messaging campaigns for social media to promote & disseminate public health communications during and post-COVID-19. Content will focus specifically on reaching neurodivergent populations and those with multiple intersectional marginalized identities.
