National Training Directors Council (NTDC)

Sunday, November 5, 2017 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Location: Renaissance Ballroom West A

Session Description

We are excited to again offer a series of free Driving Change Sessions on Sunday morning of the conference. This year we have invited our Network's five Councils to each host a Driving Change Session. Each Council is excited to share information that is relevant to its own mission and goals. Get to know our Councils through this fun and interactive experience!

During this session, attendees will receive an overview of the significance of policy and advocacy for LEND and UCEDD programs. Participate in an interactive Q&A style event, moderated by panel of experts who will share successful strategies that promote trainee learning, experiences, and long-term engagement in policy. Further, it is anticipated that learning about model training programs will enhance attendees' offerings for trainees and fellows in the development of skills related to policy and advocacy.

Participate in this session and be a part of a learning and sharing environment where you will hear from and share ideas with leaders from around the network on how to drive change in a specific area of disability policy, advocacy, or research, and give them the opportunity to learn more about the topic from expert panelists and participate in guided roundtable discussions on the topic with other attendees. These sessions are free for all registered conference attendees.
