2023 MIND Summer Institute on Neurodevelopmental Disabilities

This year's theme is "Inclusion and Belonging: Powerful Discussions to Engage our Community." This event focuses on meaningful inclusion of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in many areas. Professionals, family members, disability advocates, community members and students are invited to attend. Sessions will cover topics such as social inclusion and inclusion in medical, education, housing and employment contexts.

Room to Grow: Journey to Cultural & Linguistic Competency Conference Theme: All of Us

Disability Health, Intersectionality + All of Us

Our life experiences are tied with the spectrum of identities we hold. When it comes to our health, our outcomes are often shaped by gender, LGBTQIA+ status, race and ethnicity, and socioeconomic status. People with disabilities are part of every community, but not all health needs look the same. In this second conversation in the Disability & Health Webinar series, we will be hosting a broad conversation about disability intersectionality when it comes to health. Join us for a conversation about precision medicine and the barriers that people face to accessing the care and support they need.

39th Annual Pacific Rim International Conference on Disability and Diversity

Since 1988, the Center on Disability Studies (CDS) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa's College of Education has been hosting Pac Rim, an international conference that has attracted thousands of presenters and attendees from Hawaiʻi, the United States, and around the globe. The 2024 conference will be focused on "Beyond Access: Building a Culture of Belonging."

2024 Annual Disability Statistics Conference: Surveys, Statistics, and Identity

On Thursday, March 28, 2023 -in a one-day hybrid event in Washington, DC and via Zoom- The Center for Research on Disability will be releasing the Annual Disability Statistics Collection, which fills critical gaps in national, state, and historic data related to people with disabilities by synthesizing complex data from numerous U.S. federal agencies into accessible formats. The Conference will also include two sessions addressing the latest in disability statistics, including survey methods and how disability is defined in national surveys.

Disability Policy Seminar 2024

The Disability Policy Seminar is an annual federal legislative conference co-sponsored by The Arc, Autism Society, American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Association of University Centers on Disabilities, National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities, United Cerebral Palsy, and Self Advocates Becoming Empowered (the partners). The Disability Policy Seminar strengthens our federal advocacy efforts by providing training, learning opportunities, and updates, and opportunities to visit their Members of Congress. The Disability Policy Seminar promotes unity, movement building, and amplifies the concerns of people with IDD before Congress.

The Gatlinburg Conference on Research and Theory in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities is one of the premier conferences for behavioral scientists conducting research on intellectual and developmental disabilities. It has a rich history that started in Gatlinburg, Tennessee in 1967, and the name of its original location remained. Each year, Gatlinburg Conference brings together scientists from around the world to gather to discuss research and collaborations in the field.

AUCD Leadership Academy

The AUCD Leadership Academy is a week-long intensive experience, paired with a year of pre and post interactions designed to enhance the skills of current and emerging leaders from disability networks to build coalitions to improve systems of supports and services. The Leadership Academy engages participants from UCEDDs, LENDs, IDDRCs and the wider community of disability partners to come together to immerse themselves for a week of study, shared experiences, self-evaluation, and skill development.

IHD Evidence for Success Disability Conference

For a quarter of a century, the Institute for Human Development (IHD) at Northern Arizona University has been hosting one of the most respected disability conferences in the state.As in previous years, the programming will focus on innovative practices in disability disciplines, assistive technology (AT) services and devices, and American Indian vocational rehabilitation. This year's conference features 60 breakout sessions led by nationally known speakers and local experts as well as a vibrant exhibit hall with over 40 exhibitors.

AIR-P Research Day at Autism CARES Meeting 2024: Translating Research to Community Impact

The Autism Intervention Research Network on Physical Health (AIR-P) will be hosting its 7th semi-annual Research Day on July 22, 2024, in conjunction with the 2024 Autism CARES Meeting. This virtual event is an opportunity to highlight research related to the physical health and overall well-being of autistic individuals. The 2024 theme is "Translating Research to Community Impact" and will feature poster presentations from across the nation. This virtual event is open to all.
