2022 MIND Summer Institute on Neurodevelopmental Disabilities

This annual event is intended to help participants keep pace with the latest in evidence-based treatment and research on neurodevelopmental disabilities and the implications for best practices in prevention, assessment, and treatment. ​We are excited to offer this inter-disciplinary event, bringing together researchers and self-advocates to share valuable information and personal experience. We welcome all health care professionals, educators, therapists, self-advocates and families/caregivers to this free virtual event. The theme is We Belong: Preparing for Community Life and Fulfillment After High School.

ED&I Action Plan Implementation Coaching Workshop

Join us for a coaching workshop focused on common challenges to implementing the ED&I Action Plan. Learn alongside network peers how to make a more meaningful and sustainable impact at your UCEDD. The workshop will focus on 1) data collection and reporting to measure progress, 2) staff training and development to build capacity, and 3) making and sustaining action of self-assessment data.

Fostering Self-Advocacy and Choice: An Interdisciplinary Approach for Children and Adolescents who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing

The Mailman Center for Child Development Innovation and Connection Conference will bring experts together to discuss methods that members of an interdisciplinary team, including audiologists, teachers, speech and language pathologists and parents, may use to facilitate the development of self-advocacy skills in children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Specific tools and strategies to support the application of self-advocacy skills across settings (i.e. clinical, educational, social) will be presented.

Room to Grow: Journey to Cultural & Linguistic Competency Virtual Conference

2022 State-of-the-Science on Disability Statistics

Out of concern for the health and wellness of our community, StatsRRTC has postponed the State-of-the-Science on Disability Statistics Conference to October 6 - 7, 2022. This hybrid event will be streamed online via Zoom and held in-person at the Holiday Inn, 550 C St SW, Washington, DC 20024. Registration will open after the Release of the Annual Disability Statistics Collection Webinar.

2023 Disability Policy Seminar Orientation and Policy Education 101 Workshop: Preparing to Educate Policymakers in DC and at Home

This workshop helped trainees learn how to educate policymakers in DC and at home. It also taught trainees how to connect their experience and expertise to policy. Finally, the workshop helped prepare trainees for the virtual 2023 Disability Policy Seminar that was on Monday, April 24th, and the fly-in hill day on Thursday, April 27th.

Think College Awareness Week: College is for Everyone

Join us as we kick off the "Think Higher. Think College." public awareness campaign to expand access to college for students with intellectual disability.
