The Cost of Serving Infants and Toddlers Under Part C
About the Webinar
In the worst recession since the 1930s, budget shortfalls have forced many states to restrict eligibility criteria under the Part C program or even consider dropping out of the program. A paucity of information is available on the cost of early intervention services to aid in decision-making. This webinar will discuss extensive statewide expenditure data for one state on the monthly and annual cost of providing early intervention services to infants and toddlers and their families. The discussion will share the following information:
- Costs of serving children with various numbers and percentages of delay;
- Costs of providing care coordination services;
- Local and state-level administrative costs for Part C services;
- Cost of transportation when providing Part C services in natural environments;
- Costs of serving Medicaid-eligible children; and
- Costs of serving infants and toddlers with an autism-spectrum diagnosis.
