AUCD is committed to advancing the rights of people with disabilities across the lifespan. The AUCD Network has a direct impact at the local, state, national, and international levels to advance policy and practice. Current national legislation and advocacy activities have significant impacts on the nature and extent of services and supports for people with disabilities and their families at the state and local level. AUCD's Network members conduct research, provide education, perform training, and offer services on many issues related to people with disabilities and their families. AUCD's Policy and Advocacy Team provides support and resources on current and emerging issues in the field.

AUCD Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are made up of individuals that have common topical interest such as emergency prep, family support, assistive technology, and so on. SIGs, which are open to anyone in the AUCD Network as well as external partners and stakeholders, that means you! SIGs meet virtually throughout the year and in person annually at the AUCD Conference. Anyone can join one or multiple SIGs.
