Vaccine Confidence Stories

Vaccine confidence is helping people understand why getting a shot is important.  Part of vaccine confidence is also listening to people’s concerns about a shot and giving them true information about it.  AUCD made this Friends and Family toolkit to help people talk to their loved ones about getting the COVID-19 shot.  As part of our project to increase vaccine confidence, AUCD is collecting stories.

Why is getting vaccinated or boosted important to you?  Have you talked to your friends or family about getting the vaccine? How did it go?

We don’t expect anyone to change their mind after one conversation. If you had an open, respectful conversation, that can be a good story. You can share your story by typing it or by uploading a video. 

If you type your story, use these tips: 

• Keep it short and sweet, 3 sentences maximum 
• Make sure your point is clear 
• If you include a photo, be sure to write an image description for it

• Try to use language that is easy for most people to understand
