Vaccine Confidence Stories

We want YOU to share your story!

Vaccine confidence is helping people understand why getting a shot is important.  Part of vaccine confidence is also listening to people’s concerns about a shot and giving them true information about it.  AUCD made this Friends and Family toolkit to help people talk to their loved ones about getting the COVID-19 shot.  As part of our project to increase vaccine confidence, AUCD is collecting stories.

Why is getting vaccinated or boosted important to you?  Have you talked to your friends or family about getting the vaccine? How did it go?

Please share your story using this form.

We don’t expect anyone to change their mind after one conversation. If you had an open, respectful conversation, that can be a good story. You can share your story by typing it or by uploading a video.

If you type your story, use these tips:

  • Keep it short and sweet, 3 sentences maximum
  • Make sure your point is clear
  • If you include a photo, be sure to write an image description for it

If you upload a video, use these tips:

If you have any questions or issues with the form, you can email Steph at [email protected]

Vaccine Confidence Stories

"We decided to get vaccinated, because we believe that vaccines are effective, they have prevented people from dying or suffering from terrible diseases such as polio; preventing reaching a hospital is as simple as 3 doses, in the family we vaccinated as soon as possible and after more than two years of pandemic, we have remained free of covid."

I got vaccinated and boosted against Covid-19 for several reasons, including wanting life back to normal, wanting to see family and friends, and wanting to protect myself against this horrible disease.
