AUCD Leadership Academy

The AUCD Leadership Academy is an annual week-long program designed to enhance the skills of current and emerging leaders the disability network, with an emphasis on building coalitions to improve systems of supports and services. The Academy focuses on exploring shared values and commitments to civil and human rights, self-assessing personal and leadership strengths, learning strategies for building partnerships to achieve a shared vision, and establishing concrete personal and professional leadership goals. Participants from UCEDDs, LENDs, IDDRCs, and the broader disability community are encouraged to apply.

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Hub

The Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Hub provides resources, examples, and action steps that help enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion and promote cultural humility and responsiveness. The hub brings together the variety of existing resources available in the AUCD network all in one place. It also shares stories of how network members are promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion at their centers and programs and how to engage with AUCD technical assistance initiatives.

National Center on Disability in Public Health

AUCD’s Public Health team works on health promotion and other efforts that include people with disabilities, with the goal of reducing health disparities and enhancing capacity at the workforce level. These initiatives can serve as leadership and learning opportunities for early career professionals; they provide exposure to national collaborative efforts involving a variety of public health organizations, as well as plenty of opportunities to network with public health leaders and gain expertise.
