Michele Lunsford is the Director of Marketing and Communications at the Association of University Centers on Disabilities where she leads the organization's communications, development and events-planning work. Utilizing more than a decade of experience in non-profit communications, Michele works to elevate AUCD's brand and supports private sector and individual fundraising efforts. She also oversees the planning of the organization's events and meetings, including the Annual Conference and Gala. 

Previously, Michele served as the Senior Digital Marketing and Communications Officer for Humanity & Inclusion where she was responsible for ensuring that HI's digital footprint reflected the organization's programmatic and advocacy priorities, and encouraged globally minded Americans to add their voices and their donor dollars to fuel the organization's critical efforts. She developed the digital strategy and managed the daily engagement across HI's website and social media channels, encouraging more Americans to lean in.

Michele earned a Master of Arts degree with a concentration in Strategic Communication from American University in Washington, DC. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Trinity Washington University.
