Katie Johnson, MPA

Katie Johnson is a Program Specialist for AUCD's UCEDD Resource Center where she provides technical assistance to the UCEDD network. Her responsibilities include coordinating planning committees and workgroups and providing support and information on a wide range of activities that further the work of the UCEDD network.

Katie earned her MPA with a specialization in Nonprofit Disability Services from the University of Delaware. While at UD, she was involved with the Center for Disabilities Studies (Delaware's UCEDD), as a policy intern and in supporting the development of the Access:Ability Scholars program, serving undergraduate students interested in disability and justice. She's also a researcher, having worked with the National Leadership Consortium on Developmental Disabilities to research the state of the Direct Support Professional (DSP) workforce and the roles of DSPs across different service delivery models. Most recently, she worked as an early stage researcher with the Disability Advocacy Research in Europe (DARE) Project, where she researched innovative self-directed support models for adults with IDD. Katie brings extensive training and experiences in public administration and policy, training and facilitation, and research and evaluation, especially as it relates to the disability community and to intersectional social movements.
