Lauren Blachowiak, MEd, is the Project Manager for the CDC project Addressing COVID-19 Vaccine Access and Confidence Among People with Disabilities. In this position, Lauren coordinates the national efforts of AUCD's network to promote COVID-19 vaccine confidence and access for people with disabilities, their families, and direct support professionals.

Lauren previously served as the 2020-2021 AUCD Policy Fellow, where she contributed to AUCD's Policy Team on federal policy and legislative issues that impact people with disabilities and their families. Prior to joining AUCD, Lauren taught early childhood inclusive education for children with hearing loss in Washington, D.C. She received her BA in Writing Seminars from Johns Hopkins University and her MEd in Early Childhood Special Education from Vanderbilt University. Through both her own experience as a sibling to a sister with Down syndrome and as a professional, Lauren is dedicated to advancing policies that promote equity, accessibility, and inclusivity for people with disabilities and their families.
