Grantee Success Stories
In 2007, the National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities (NCBDDD), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, funded 16 State Implementation Projects for Preventing Secondary Conditions and Promoting the Health of People with Disabilities (State Disability and Health Grantees). The grantee success stories provided below show a snapshot of the public health impact the Grantees have had for people with disabilities in their states. These success stories capture details on how each grantee program has taken steps to target a particular public health issue that people with disabilities face in their state and how their work will impact future public health efforts.
