Project Coordinator, Senior, Wyoming Institute for Disabilities, Laramie, WY

JOB PURPOSE:

The purpose of this position is to assist the Research and Evaluation team at the Wyoming Institute for Disabilities. This position will provide guidance to other WIND program staff as needed. This position, with oversight from Director of Research and Evaluation, will manage multiple projects and tasks related to sponsored projects at WIND.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate and manage the administrative and personnel activities of multiple designated large and/or complex projects
  • Assist in the development of project goals and objectives and revise as necessary; develop and implement a comprehensive plan for delivery and assessment of project objectives and goals
  • Represent the Research and Evaluation team, and WIND programs at grant functions, or other meetings and events, which may include reporting on projects, planning collaborations with other project professionals, and evaluating projects
  • Assist in the development and delivery of survey's programmatic evaluations, and needs assessments related to WIND projects
  • Support the writing of grants and contracts to support new programs at the Wyoming Institute for Disabilities
  • Consult with faculty, counselors, staff members, and the public to assist students and/or program participants associated with projects
  • Assist with the management of programmatic and research staff
  • Supervise and coordinate research compliance activities such as staff training, and Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field of disability studies, psychology, sociology, public health, behavioral sciences or related fields
  • Experience: 2 years work-related experience, including administration, supervision and data management

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in teams and with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities and potentially conflicting timelines
  • Good oral and written skills
  • Experience with database management
  • This position is grant funded
