The OU Health Child Study Center and Section of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics (DBP) is recruiting a full-time doctoral level Clinical or Counseling Psychologist for an Assistant or Associate Professor position. Candidates must have completed an APA approved graduate program, and have completed an APA approved internship and be licensed (eligible) in Oklahoma.  Post-doctoral Fellowship experience is preferred.  Specialization or clinical experience in pediatric neuropsychology, developmental/psychological evaluations, and/or autism spectrum disorder is preferred. The applicant selected will fill a clinician educator track position, providing direct clinical evaluation services, supervise and teach psychology/behavioral health and students for other disciplines (e.g., medicine, allied health), and have the option to participate in interdisciplinary research relevant to practice.  Clinical care and supervision will include administration and interpretation of psychological tests, assigning diagnoses, and providing feedback services within the context of neuropsychological or psychological evaluations.

The selected applicant will join our DBP Section’s large interdisciplinary faculty and staff which includes developmental-behavioral pediatricians, child clinical/educational psychologists, behavior analysts, professional counselors, clinical social workers, child development specialists, neuropsychologist, nurse practitioner, speech/language pathologist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, neuroscientist, quantitative psychologists, biostatisticians, attorney, research assistants/technicians, program coordinators, accounting staff, and family navigators. These thriving and growing interdisciplinary experts serve children with the most complex developmental, behavioral, and trauma-related concerns in Oklahoma. Our team provides advanced training and consultation in evidence-based practices and integrated community supports. Potential interdisciplinary training and research opportunities will be available through partnerships within DBP and with colleagues in psychiatry, pediatric neurology, neurosurgery, genetics, sleep medicine, and adolescent medicine through the anticipated establishment of the Oklahoma Pediatric Brain Institute that will have our DBP Section at its center.

Full-time faculty position with appointment at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, College of Medicine, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.  The individual filling this position will function primarily in the Section of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.

  • Required Qualifications
    Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Clinical Child Psychology. Candidates must have completed an APA approved graduate program, and have completed an APA approved internship and be licensed (eligible) in Oklahoma.

  • Preferred Qualifications
    Specialization or clinical experience in pediatric neuropsychology, developmental/psychological evaluations, and/or autism spectrum disorder is preferred.  Post-doctoral Fellowship experience is preferred.

  • Areas of Responsibility
    The individual filling this position will be appointed as Assistant or Associate Professor (depending on qualifications) and will based at the OU Health Child Study Center affiliated with the Section of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics and on the Clinician Educator Track. Primary duties will include a) the administration and interpretation of psychological tests, assigning diagnoses, and providing feedback services within the context of neuropsychological or psychological evaluations, b) participation in clinical supervision and teaching/mentoring of psychology and other trainees rotating through the OU Health Child Study Center, and c) has the option to participate in interdisciplinary research projects relevant to practice.
