Assistive Technology Program Manager, Center for Disability Resources at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine (UCEDD/LEND)

The Center for Disability Resources at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine (UCEDD/LEND) is seeking an experienced professional to direct the SC Assistive Technology Program. This person will implement ongoing goals and objectives of the statewide Assistive Technology Program, assist speech-language pathologists during the assistive technology decision-making process, manage grant and other program procedural matters, supervise program staff and provide leadership to the program.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced knowledge and application of assistive technology products, processes, and best practice concepts that support employment, post-secondary education and independent living outcomes for adults and transition aged youth with disabilities. This person must have an advanced degree in
in speech/language pathology, communication disorders, rehabilitation services, engineering, health/therapy areas or related field and 2 years relevant program experience; or bachelor's degree and 4 years relevant program experience. Must have thorough knowledge of technology related services, assistive technology, augmentative and alternative communication, overall rehabilitation, education and health care service delivery.
