Posted: Wednesday, April 20, 2022The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) College of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics in Memphis, TN is seeking a full-time BC/BE Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician to join the Division of Developmental Pediatrics in a non-tenure track faculty position (Assistant or Associate Professor rank) with academic rank commensurate with experience and credentials. This position offers a great opportunity for a Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician to participate in a wide variety of educational, clinical, research, and community outreach activities in several settings. We have plans for continued expansion, with 4 physicians, 5 psychologists, and an advanced-practice nurse as current faculty members in our Division.
Our Department of Pediatrics is a part of the Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, which among other honors, has been named a Best Children’s Hospital by U.S. News & World Report for the 11th consecutive year. The UTHSC Center on Developmental Disabilities, also within the Department of Pediatrics and with additional faculty and staff, is a federally-funded University Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) and home to a Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities (LEND) interdisciplinary graduate-level training program. More than 20 long-term LEND trainees (and additional shorter-duration trainees) are enrolled and nearly 40 Pediatric and Medicine/Pediatric residents complete a one-month clinical rotation with us annually.
