This position exists within the unique setting of the University of Washington Center on Human Development and Disability (CHDD) and offers an outstanding opportunity to work in programs co-located at the CHDD, to include Clinical Training Unit (CTU) Specialty Clinics and UW Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) program.

Job Summary

The successful applicant will be a member of an interdisciplinary team of professionals, family members, self-advocates, as well as graduate students and pre-and post-doctoral fellows. Primary responsibility is to provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments contributing to the interdisciplinary team evaluation and diagnostics for children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disabilities including autism spectrum disorder. The successful applicant will serve as mentor for occupational therapy trainees and graduate-level trainees of other disciplines enrolled in UW LEND.

Desired Experience

  • Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program AND successful completion of American Occupational Therapy Association certification examination –OR— equivalent education/experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in the practice of pediatric occupational therapy
  • Experience with LEND program(s) as LEND trainee or other; desired not required
  • Clinical faculty appointment in the UW School of Medicine – Division of Occupational, or be eligible for appointment
  • Current National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy
