Job Title: Sr. Program Manager, Developmental Disability Programs

Job Overview:

The Georgetown University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (GUCEDD) and the Georgetown University National Center for Cultural Competence (NCCC) are nationally and internationally recognized major centers within the Georgetown University Center for Child and Human Development (GUCCHD) located within the GUMC Department of Pediatrics. The GUCEDD and NCCC are closely linked centers with a shared director, faculty, and staff. The GUCEDD's mission focuses exclusively on developmental and other disabilities across the lifespan and embeds the role of cultural and linguistic competence, diversity, equity, and inclusion within the contexts of systems of supports and services for this population. The NCCC's mission is much broader, not limited to disability, and advances cultural and linguistic competence, diversity, equity, and inclusion in many domains and fields. Georgetown University is at the forefront of a growing focus on the intersection of disability and cultural competence.

The Senior Program Manager for Developmental Disabilities Programs (SPM) will work at the intersection of these two centers to provide a broad range of professional development, training, technical assistance, and consultation activities focused on advancing diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), and cultural and linguistic competence in disability organizations and systems locally and nationally. This knowledge and skillset is a unique area of expertise in the disability space and essential to the body of work conducted by both the GUCEDD and the NCCC. The SPM will work independently and as a member of both centers and have primary responsibility for managing and leading short-term and ongoing programs within the GUCEDD and NCCC. S/he will assume a leading role in project management and ensure that activities are implemented on time, within budget, and in accordance with grant and contract requirements.  The Senior Officer will work collaboratively with GUCEDD and NCCC interdisciplinary team members to conduct professional development, training, technical assistance, and consultation activities based on the requirements of each specific program.  The Senior Officer will supervise program administrative staff and students as required. The Senior Program Officer will work with state, territorial, and tribal policymakers, public and private sector disability organizations, disability-specific advocacy organizations, university faculty and staff, and most importantly persons with intellectual, developmental, and other disabilities and their families in the conduct of the previously cited activities.
