Vanderbilt University Medical Center's Center for Child Health Policy (childpolicy.org), the Department of Pediatrics Division of Developmental Medicine (https://pediatrics.vumc.org/developmental-medicine), and the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center for Research on Human Development (vkc.vumc.org) are conducting a search for investigators with expertise in child health services and policy research focused on children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Vanderbilt Center for Child Health Policy's mission is to improve the wellbeing of children and families through rigorous research, workforce development and public engagement. The Division of Developmental Medicine at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt has a team of physicians, nurse practitioners, psychologists, behavior specialists, and other allied healthcare professionals who work together with families to provide medical and psychological care for children with a variety of complex neurodevelopmental challenges and concerns. Similarly, the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center's mission is to improve the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families through research, service, training, dissemination, and educational advocacy. Successful candidates will join an innovative and creative multidisciplinary team focused on transforming clinical care and public policy to improve the lives of children with and without disabilities across the US.

Position Summary

Researchers with a broad array of child health-related research expertise are encouraged to apply as the Center has open positions for at least one junior faculty member as well as a more senior investigator. Candidates must display evidence of, or potential to, attract external funding for their research. A faculty position with Vanderbilt University School of Medicine will be commensurate with rank and experience.

Candidates must possess either:

• An MD with training in Pediatrics or a Pediatric specialty, with additional training in health services research, public health, public policy or a closely related field.
• A PhD in health policy, health services research, economics, epidemiology, statistics, psychology, public policy, public health, or a closely related field.
