Position Summary

Project Coordinator position is available in the Center for Precision Medicine and Genomics (CPMG) at Columbia University Medical Center (http://columbiamedicine.org/cpmg/). We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic individuals to join our research effort investigating issues of trust in precision medicine research among people with disabilities and racial/ethnic minorities. Our research more broadly focuses on the ethical, legal, and social implications (ELSI) of genomic and precision medicine research.

Responsibilities

Perform academic literature review
Perform qualitative data collection and analyses
Observe and/or facilitate online focus groups with diverse populations
Perform coding of focus groups' transcripts
Assist with manuscript preparation
Maintain timely and responsive communication with project team and collaborators
Perform additional related duties as needed or assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus two years of related experience, or equivalent in education, training and experience
Team player with close attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including effective verbal and written communication
Ability to work well independently and complete assignments in a timely manner
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to ensure the completion of essential tasks by deadlines
