Position: UNH-4U Co-Director

Organization: UNH Institute on Disability

Location: UNH Campus, Durham, NH

Summary: Under the direction of the UNH-4U PI, the Co-Director will assist in the design, implementation, and quality improvement of all elements of the UNH-4U program. Duties include assisting in the development of operations protocol for all program elements, including but not limited to: 1) student recruitment, registration, admissions, academic advising, coordination and collaboration with faculty, students, parents; curriculum development, instruction, and micro-credentialing taxonomy; 2) Work closely with UNH and CHHS partners in the integration of post-secondary experiences; 3) professional development of staff and staff supervision; 4) training and TA on differentiated instruction and inclusive education practices; 5) assessment of implementation drivers for members of Inclusive Higher Education Consortia; 6) marketing, communication and information dissemination materials; 7) peer mentoring and academic coaching capacity building; 8) assist the project evaluator with data collection and coordination for process and outcome evaluation and use of data for quality improvement; 9) development of funding and fee for service mechanisms for long term program sustainability; 10) produce new knowledge and translate knowledge through practical and peer reviewed conferences, articles, technical assistance to other higher education institutions in NH and scholarship for a variety of audiences.

Qualifications: Terminal Degree + 3 years

  • PhD in related academic discipline and three years of experience related to project specialization; or Master's degree in appropriate academic discipline and five years of experience related to project specialization.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience related to inclusive education for transition age youth and/or young adults with intellectual disabilities
  • Experience working in post-secondary education settings with diverse higher education partners.
  • Knowledge and experience with Implementation Science and fidelity to implementation frameworks.
  • Proven technical and scholarly writing skills.
  • Teaching experience in higher education, particularly with neurodiverse learners and related content expertise.
  • Self-starter with proven track record in attention to detail, ability to work as part of a team, and ability to work independently with quality.
  • Proven track record of timely verbal and written communication skills in all aspect of professional live, specifically with colleagues, students, families, supervisors, and partner agencies.
  • Knowledge and experience facilitating person-centered planning
  • Excellent presentation skills in a variety of modes and audiences.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
  • Experience completing federal and state grant reporting requirements.
  • Ability to travel as required in project area.
  • Experience working and training with online learning platforms.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with University and state agency partners across NH.

3. Working knowledge of Supported Employment practices and rules and regulations governing disability policies in Vocational Rehabilitation and Area Agency services.
4. Experience writing federal and state grants.
