Director of Knowledge Management, SEEC - Silver Spring, Maryland

The Director of Knowledge Management is responsible for the development, implementation and on-going management of comprehensive operations training programs for staff working across SEEC's programs and Quality Assurance aspects of service delivery.  The Director of KM collaborates with others in leadership to identify needed training and resources to ensure services meet quality standards, and the mission and goals of SEEC, Inc., and identify and/or create solutions and processes that span organizational functions. Strives for alignment of outcome based service provision culture across the organization that uses uniform practices  leading to a quality support services experiences for the people being supported through  SEEC, Inc. S/he sets strategic direction in an equitable and needs-based manner for all aspects of learning including formal and informal structures to advance outcomes in operations. Responsible for the development and implementation of curricula and resource documentation for SEEC employees.  Ensures robust, effective education and transfer of knowledge to promote and maintain and highly motivated and skilled workforce.   Oversees quality assurances established practices and employs an ongoing continuous improvement process.  Director supports organizational change through learning and ongoing development in order to be at the forefront of the industry, and committed to best practices across and within teams to promote quality outcomes for the people being supported 

Manages staff which includes mid-management level and/or team lead direct reports, as well as learning management professionals (trainers, mentors, curriculum developers, etc). Prepares and monitors budget for knowledge management activities as it relates to operational budgets across SEEC. Assists in developing departmental policies as it relates to the documentation, transfer of information and knowledge and quality assurance efforts. Serves within the administration and program director teams, and provides regular updates to Executive Director regarding knowledge management initiatives.

 

Minimum Qualifications

·         At least 15 years of employment in disability services including direct support, supervision, and management. Management experience in program development and/or operations.

·         Experienced workforce development professional, including development of training, implementation and assessment strategies.

·         Leadership experience managing multiple staff and overseeing project and organizational budgets.

·         Strategic leader, with a focus on continued growth and quality improvement.

·         Effective problem-solver, anticipating issues and addressing before potential conflict arises.

·         Strong organizational, supervision and teamwork skills.

·         Proficient with technology including, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office 365.

·         Possess positive, person-centered written and verbal communication skills.

·         Master's Degree in social work, psychology, or related field from an accredited University/College.

·         Experience/knowledge of CQL's Personal Outcomes, Customized Employment, The Discovery Process, and systematic instruction is preferred.
