Description:

The Center for Leadership in Disability (CLD) in the Mark Chaffin Center for Healthy Development, School of Public Health is seeking a Sponsor Funded Research Associate II; working title: Behavior Specialist.  This position is funded for one year.  The position may extend beyond one year contingent upon funding.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

·         Provide direct counseling and consultation to families through the development and implementation of individualized PBIS plans

·         Extensive statewide travel with overnight stays to fulfill project activities

·         Collaborate with universities, schools, advocacy organizations, service programs, and state agencies to maximize implementation of PBIS across the state

·         Establish and oversee data collection, analysis, evaluation, and reporting processes for his/her respective caseload

·         Develop, implement, and evaluate curricula for disability communities in Georgia and across the United States

·         Develop proposals to state and community agencies for funded projects

·         Write grants to secure additional funding for projects

·         Serve as the project lead for multiple CLD projects

·         Participate in the activities of the Georgia Developmental Disabilities Network and broader array of state agencies, school districts, and programs by representing CLD at advisory and other related meetings

·         Participate in the planning and implementation of the annual Georgia Association for Positive Behavior Supports Conference

·         Work to fulfill the broad objectives of CLD as a University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) through participation in the activities of the UCEDD network and the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD)

·         Provide training, technical assistance, and consultation to early intervention, childcare, school, and adult program personnel on the development and implementation of individualized positive behavior interventions and supports, functional behavior assessment, and related evidence-based practices

·         Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Master's degree and one year of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Hiring Qualifications:

·         5+ years experience working in early intervention and/or K-12 settings

·         BCBA preferred but not required

·         Strong oral presentation skills
