Lakeshore Foundation is currently seeking an energetic, creative, resourceful, self- starter to carry out established project objectives and directives.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
Under the direct supervision of the Associate Director of NCHPAD for a federally grant funded project, responsible for providing information, technical assistance training, resources, research and project development on disability, aging and public health, as well as physical activity, fitness, health promotion, independent living, accessibility, disability legislation, disability rights/empowerment, adaptive recreation, adaptive sports, and inclusion.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in specialized field (Exercise Physiology, Community Health Education, Health Promotion or Public Health) and 1-3 years' experience providing direct service delivery required, Master's degree preferred in Public Health, Nutrition Sciences, Community Health, Gerontology, or related field.
Candidates with experience developing projects and instructional resource/training materials to promote healthy and active lifestyles for people with disabilities and possess good public speaking skills and ability to write materials for a varied audience which may include researchers, public health practitioners, fitness professionals, and individuals with disabilities and their family members/care givers, effective and efficient organizational skills and the ability to effectively work in a collaborative manner are highly preferred.
Ability to work flexible hours; evening and weekend work may be required.

CPR and AED required (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of employment)
