Licensed Clinical Psychologist - Southeast Missouri State University, Autism Center for Diagnosis and Treatment, Full Time/Term, Cape Girardeau, MO

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic assessment of individuals for identification of autism spectrum disorder, and related disorders, as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Create and implement treatment plans using evidence-based treatments appropriate for home, community and educational settings, as well as assisting team with implementation
  • Contribute to research projects and data collection for state initiatives and professional conferences/symposia
  • Assist in program development as it relates to the preparation of professionals
  • Provide clinical supervision of practicum students/interns/externs
  • Conduct seminars/guest lectures/workshops activities

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or Psy. D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA or National Register accredited program and APPIC approved internship
  • Licensed or license eligible in the state of Missouri
  • Passed EPPP exam
  • Coursework in psychological assessment, behavioral therapies, and psychopathology
  • Experience serving individuals with autism spectrum disorder for diagnostic, assessment, and treatment purposes
  • Familiarity/experience administering gold standard diagnostic assessments for autism spectrum disorder and related disorders
  • Experience/interest in supervising practicum students, interns, and/or externs
  • Ability to establish collaborative partnerships within the University and among regional service providers including school districts, mental health/disability service providers, and/or medical providers
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Experience/interest conducting research activities
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
  • Demonstrated commitment to a diverse work environment, including working with multi-cultural populations and an understanding of, and sensitivity to, issues affecting women and minorities
