Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow Positions - Westchester Institute for Human Development (WIHD), University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities

Westchester Institute for Human Development (WIHD), a University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, is currently seeking applicants for its APPIC-member Postdoctoral Fellowships for the September 2018-August 2019 year. 

Program Description:

Within the Child Welfare/Pediatric Developmental Disabilities track, opportunities include assessment/intervention with children and families involved in the child welfare system and assessment of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with special needs.

Within the Behavioral Psychology/Autism Spectrum Disorder track, training opportunities include intervention with children/adults with disabilities and behavioral challenges, development of functional behavior assessments, and participation in community outreach programs/conferences.  BCBA certification supervision hours available.

Both tracks provide professional seminars in developmental disabilities, early intervention, and career development. Psychology Fellows also take part in a 9-month, federally-funded Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) program featuring developmental disabilities training from a multi-disciplinary perspective, participation in a research group on disability-related topics, and training in legislative advocacy skills. Additional training experiences are available at WIHD and can be integrated into candidates' program based on interest.

Qualifications:

This is a full-time training opportunity for graduates from clinical, school, counseling, educational, or specialized behavioral psychology doctoral programs, offering a broad variety of experiences with extensive individual and group supervision.
