The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) is a private, non-profit organization
formed in 1979. We are the leader in developing standards to advance and promote patient safety, quality
care, and value for ambulatory health care through peer-based accreditation processes, education, and
research. A certificate of accreditation is awarded to organizations that are found to be in compliance with
AAAHC Standards.

We are currently seeking an Account Representative for our Skokie, IL office. This position is primarily
focused on ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accreditation surveys. Our Account
Representatives provides customer service to applicant organizations to ensure the accurate, complete, and timely processing of application information. The incumbent will also compile, interpret, and evaluate the data gathered during a survey then document and report those findings. The Account Representative will report to and receive support from the Team Lead.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain customer relationships with a dedicated set of new and existing accounts under supervision and guidance
  • Review applications and work with customers to ensure all documents are accurate and complete
  • Develop a beginners level of knowledge and interpretation of standards and policies as outlined in the applicable AAAHC handbook
  • Evaluate reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accreditation policies
  • Maintain continued contact with customers regarding ownership changes and prompting reapplication prior to expiration

Job Qualifications:
Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent job-related experience in business and/or health care related courses preferred
  • Minimum 1 year customer service experience with the ability to communicate and develop a rapport
  • Intermediate computer skills and aptitude to learn new technology
  • Demonstrated ability to professionally communicate information to supervisors, co-workers, and external contacts via telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person

Preferred

  • Graduate or other advanced degree
  • Two + years' health care experience
  • Recent experience preferred with an organization, agency, or business primarily involved in conducting licensing, certification, accreditation, or membership.
  • Demonstrated understanding and ability to explain an overview of the survey process, policies and procedures to applicant organizations
  • Energetic individual with multi-tasking abilities and attention to details
  • Flexibility, with a demonstrated ability to respond rapidly in an appropriate and controlled manner.
